GLENMARY HOME MISSIONERS

Glenmary's work is in depressed rural areas of the United States, primarily in the Appalachian Mountains, where they distribute food, clothing, and books to those in need, and assist in providing medical care, job training and tutoring. Glenmary dedicates two weeks in the summer to Camp Friendship, a summer camp for disadvantaged children.

THE HOUSE THAT THETA PHI ALPHA BUILT

The goal of The House That Theta Phi Alpha Built is to improve the plight of the homeless in any way possible. Chapters of Theta Phi seek to provide assistance to organizations that help the homeless, shelters, home building or neighborhood revitalization projects. This permits all Theta Phi Alphas to help those in need in their own community, while remaining united in our aim and purpose.

Our chapter contributes to this cause by volunteering at soup kitchens in the Trenton area, as well as participating in hunger walks.

DON'T STOP BELIEVING FUND

Our Chapter supports The Don't Stop Believing Fund, a scholarship program created in memory of a deceased sister. Stephanie Coonan passed away on June 21, 2009 after battling stomach cancer. A great friend, sister, and student, Stephanie is forever in our hearts. Our annual Fall philanthropy event donates a portion of our proceeds to the Don't Stop Believing Fund.

PHILANTHROPY: Exec Board

Through the Theta Phi Alpha Foundation, Theta Phi Alpha supports two national philanthropic causes: Glenmary Home Missioners and The House That Theta Phi Alpha Built.  Additionally, our chapter also supports the Dont Stop Believing Fund.
